The moment we lose touch with mother nature is the moment we are tought to wear shoes. To put a layer of insulation between us and her, depriving us of the raw sensations that root us in the present moment. Teaching us that freedom comes second to appearances and an illusion of hygiene. We distance ourselves from the embrace of that which has birthed us, that which nurtures us, that which keeps us alive. Let's get back. Let's bury our toes in the mud, let's step in puddles, let's celebrate the raw experience of being alive, and most of all, let's celebrate our connection to the earth - which is something we cannot do without vibrantly experiencing the connection to ourselves.
