CATO BONTJES VAN BEEK At the age of 23, she was deprived of her young life by the Nazis and beheaded in Berlin-Plötzensee on August 5, 1943. She belonged to the resistance movement, today called the "Red Orchestra" (Rote Kapelle). After her murder, she was dissected, cremated and buried anonymously. Tissue specimens found were buried at the "Drotheenstätischer Friedhof" in 2019.
