Storm-chasers? No. Storm chased.
Let's be real. Our struggles, problems, worries, concerns, and hardships overwhelm us all. It seems as if everything comes together to create the perfect storm; raining disastrous lightning, thunder and hail upon us. We soon find ourselves running to escape its harsh precipitation. But have you ever noticed that storms move? Storm chasers chase storms; document their movement, predict their actions, study their patterns...but what happens when our storms completely flip our scripts and chase US? Should we run? The answer may shock some of us, but NO. The nature of a storm is to keep moving. If we stay still, it WILL pass. But, the longer we try to outrun it, the longer we are chased. How many of us run? If you're like me, it's been more than once. How many of us are tired? I am. Taking time to stop in the middle of a storm is tough. We will get rained on. Drenched, even. But we must remember that if the Most High is our true foundation, and if we have given Him our lives, we will NOT be blown away by our storm's raging winds. Staying still requires patience and discipline, especially when we feel we have every reason to run. The Evil One will deceive us into believing that escape is the only option. But is it? Lemme ask you this. Did the Son ever run? No. WE shouldn't either. We need to trust in the Father to help us weather the weather. Once we do, we will find that the storm will roll right over us; never to turn back around. The sun will shine again. Trust me. No storm cloud is powerful enough to keep the Light away from us...if we believe.
