Where does all this rain come from? From those big clouds that live up in the sky. But surely the clouds must be empty by now, with all the rain we've had. I have to advise that these British clouds above our heads have a never ending supply of water, to ensure we stay permanently wet.

Rumour has it Christmas is on the horizon. Is this really the case? A time of goodwill to all. Hang on why only at Christmas. Goodwill should be a statutory requirent practiced by all at all times.

The other day I had a call from someone asking about the house I live in.

Now I can't let that incorrect assumption pass without comment, but I'm not just going to say the boring line "I live in a flat".

"I reside in a castle, thank you very much".

A flat on the 2nd floor is where I reside. Wandering through the rooms of said flat, for the first time, my young confused niece looks at me and utters the words "Jeffrey, why is your bed downstairs". I had to lift her up and show her out the window in an attempt to explain I am anything but downstairs
