de facto rule we live by: if your surgeon commits a surgical error, there's no rule against her/him or some other surgeon correcting the mistake. on the other hand, if the entire country makes a horrible mistake such as, oh, inviting the transition into racist totalitarianism, well, that's just too bad. you can't return a defective president like you can return a defective vacuum cleaner. the vacuum cleaner, at least you can throw that worthless piece of shit in the garbage.
