The flow of information seems logical, but it's emotion-based. It can be manipulated based on the want. You know you're dealing with someone with PTSD/anxiety, comfort them when they should be most afraid. Or throw a big juicy steak at a guard dog, to steal the jewels. Or a massive data dump.
