Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) started accepting bookings for its upcoming Grand Vitara SUV from 11th July for a token amount of Rs. 11,000. Since then the SUV has managed to garner a lot of attention and the automaker has now confirmed that bookings for the four-wheeler has crossed 40,000 units. The SUV was unveiled to the media on 21st July and the market launch is expected around the 1st week of September. Production of the car is already underway at Toyotas manufacturing facility in Bidadi, Karnataka.
