My fondness for bats came to me while I was refereeing 2 boys. They were to old for a babysitter & too violent to be left by themselves. So they did not feel threatened by me. Then I went downstairs & found a bat. From that moment on that bat was at my side. When the family blended the boys explained about the bat. The other kids didn't take me seriously. Until the boys brought me the bat. Ever since I have always had one by my side & in my car
